Alan Quasha, James Ecklund and Brain Trauma Foundation

May 16, 2010

James Ecklund today serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Brain Trauma Foundation in America that Alan Quasha chairs.  Anyone who works in this capacity, will have a strong background in the research of health sciences and Ecklund is no exception.   He has a strong academic foundation, spanning medical school followed by his neurosurgical residency in the army.  Thereafter he headed the Neurosurgery department in an army medical center in Colorado but still remained in academia as assistant professor of the state’s university Health Sciences Center University of Uniformed Services.
Ecklund – like many others who serve on the Foundation’s advisory board – has conducted much research on the subject of neurosurgery.  As well, he has headed many departments trying to make progress in the same field.   Someone like Alan Quasha will never negate the importance of such work and that is why the team he has working with him at the Brain Trauma Foundation, is extremely professed in this area.  James Ecklund’s prime concerns on the subject include: cerebrovascular disease, neutrauma and complex spine.
