Fall Foliage – Nature’s Classroom for Kids

October 28, 2010

Autumn is the time for nature walks – a perfect opportunity to introduce your children to fall foliage. Use the season of falling leaves as a time to teach your kids to identify your local flora by examining the leaves and the bark of each tree and matching them up with pictures of trees. This will spark your kids’ interest in learning about their local environment – an interest you can capitalize on by buying a children’s science or ecology magazine from the National Magazine Exchange. Your kids will look forward to receiving a publication in the mail that will provide a fun and easy way to learn more about scientific and environmental topics on their own level.
